Paris-based duo just dropped a music video shot in La Goutte d’Or, Paris, taken from their upcoming EP Telema.
Only a few weeks after releasing “The Wheel”, the duo made up of Nicolas “Dakou” Dacunha and Congo-born Faty Sy Savanet, just released a new single with visuals.
The track’s name means “call the police !” in lingala, a language spoken in Congo, and symbolically embodies the point of rupture in dialogue as well as the fear of the difference. Faty’s strong voice and flow seem almost cathartic on the restless afro-electronic beat.
The music video shot by Sacha Barbin is a tribute to Léos Carax’s famous travelling in Mauvais Sang. Taking place in the multicultural neighborhood of the North of Paris called La Goutte d’Or, the visuals echo Tshegue‘s aesthetics : urban, punk and diverse.

Telema by Tshegue, out on June 19th on Ekleroshock.
